About the role

The incumbent of this position is responsible for developing and implementing inventory planning & demand management processes across our distribution and manufacturing business. Inventory Planning Manager analyzes historical sales data, market trends, and promotional activities to forecast future customer demand for products. This function will lead the deployment of the demand planning/SIOP processes by collaborating cross-functionally with key members from sales, products, finance, supply chain and operations in order to meet the company's sales and service objectives while maintaining a balanced inventory level according to parts models.

All the important tasks we'll trust you with

Design and produce monthly sales forecast reports as part of the demand planning process; Collect and analyze all relevant data to create sales forecasts (sales history, market trends, seasons, specials, etc. Report and measure the impact of forecast accuracy by product number and product line; Develop and maintain documentation and operating procedure standards for the demand planning process and methods; Conduct forecasting analyses and ensure that the techniques and methods implemented are followed and respected; Conduct and lead weekly/monthly demand planning and consensus meetings with key cross-functional stakeholders Ensure supply side purchases and inventory levels are in alignment with demand forecasts. Responsible for maintaining inventory levels consistent with demand fluctuations. Make adjustments to sales forecasts based on changes in demand and market trends recommended by the product management team; Suggest safety stock levels by product and warehouse consistent with demand forecasts/changes and ensure they are aligned with inventory objectives. Prepare and communicate to management the sales forecasts established (forecasts vs. sales); Any other related tasks.

Your areas of strength and expertise that matter most for this role

University degree/diploma in a field related to the position Minimum 7 years or more of relevant experience in inventory management & demand planning Practical, hands-on experience in planning, forecasting, procurement and/or purchasing Solid understanding of end-to-end supply chain management Able to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams extensively Proficient with ERP systems (JDE preferred) and able to analyze data and able to continuously improve data integrity within the system.

Outstanding data analytical skills
