About the role
Position Information Provides a broad range of administrative support to The Ottawa Hospital Academic Medical Organization, including its 900+ academic physician members, the Board of Directors and the Executive Director.
Rotation/Shifts Days, 8 hour shifts.
Basic Requirements
- Two (2) years Community College Office Administration, Business or equivalent;
- Minimum of ten (10 ) years recent experience working in an administrative or executive assistants capacity in healthcare and/or academic teaching hospitals;
- Experience working with physicians, Boards, committees, task forces, other professionals (accountants, lawyers, auditors, etc.);
- Proven skills working with various software programs and bookkeeping programs (i.e. working knowledge of QuickBooks Online);
- Experience working with website maintenance/design (SharePoint) ;
- Proven skills to work with various software programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Forms, Mailchimp, Survey Monkey, SharePoint and databases);
- Document management and storage system (SharePoint).

- Excellent organizational and time management skills;
- Excellent interpersonal skills (oral and written) to communicate with Department Practice Plans, TOHAMO Board of Directors, committees, task forces, hospital leadership, external clients (i.e. University of Ottawa, MOH, Accounting Service Provider, Auditors, Solicitors, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
- Business Administration diploma preferred or equivalent experience in a senior administrative coordinator role.
- Experience working in an academic (teaching) hospital or in the healthcare field.
