Your Team:
Join Flair’s Communications team, where digital content and clear messaging support brand visibility and engagement across the organization. Reporting to the Director of Communications, the Communications Specialist is responsible for the development and execution of digital-first content in both English and French, supporting internal and external initiatives while ensuring alignment with Flair’s brand and operational priorities.
The Communications Specialist leads the creation, capture, and management of video content across consumer-facing platforms, including real-time content, marketing activations, and operational milestones. The role also supports media relations, internal messaging, and campaign coordination, working closely with cross-functional teams to translate operational activity, employee stories, and brand initiatives into effective digital content. Bilingual fluency in English and French is required.
This role is based on-site at the Vancouver (YVR) or Toronto (YYZ) office.
A Day in the Life:
The duties of the Communications Specialist include:
- Develop, capture, produce, and publish high-quality video and visual content in both English and French to support social media platforms, marketing campaigns, internal communications, and corporate initiatives.
- Manage and execute bilingual social media content across consumer-facing channels, ensuring consistency in tone, brand alignment, and audience engagement in both official languages.
- Attend operational events, marketing activations, inaugural flights, community initiatives, and corporate milestones to capture real-time content and translate key messaging appropriately for English and French audiences.
- Edit and deliver video content optimized for multiple formats and platforms, ensuring accuracy and clarity in both languages.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, Airports, In-Flight, and other departments to identify storytelling opportunities and develop bilingual communications materials.
- Draft, translate, and adapt internal and external communications in English and French, ensuring messaging remains consistent and culturally appropriate.
- Support media monitoring and coordination activities, including preparing bilingual responses to inquiries as required.
- Ensure all external-facing content complies with brand standards, regulatory requirements, and corporate messaging guidelines in both languages.
- Monitor social media performance metrics and provide insight to inform bilingual content strategy and ongoing improvement.
- Maintain organized digital content libraries and ensure proper documentation of communications assets.
- Perform additional duties as assigned
What You Bring to the Role:

- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, Political Science, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience managing and executing social media strategy for a brand or organization.
- Demonstrated experience owning content calendars and delivering integrated social campaigns across multiple digital platforms.
- Proven experience planning, filming, editing, and publishing video content tailored to platform-specific audiences.
- Experience managing online communities, including responding to public inquiries, comments, and direct messages in a brand-aligned and professional manner.
- Experience capturing content in live or operational environments and translating real-time moments into compelling digital storytelling.
- Demonstrated experience interpreting performance metrics and using data insights to refine content and channel strategy.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, creative, operational, or executive teams.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Bilingual fluency in English and French is required, with the ability to draft, adapt, and translate content accurately and professionally in both official languages. Spanish proficiency is considered an asset.
- Strong video production and editing capability, with proficiency in professional editing tools and social media publishing platforms.
- Comprehensive understanding of platform-specific content strategies, audience behavior, and engagement best practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret engagement data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable strategy adjustments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both official languages.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Sound judgment and discretion when managing public-facing communications.
- Ability to operate independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
- Willingness to travel to support content capture across the airline network and participate in operational or promotional events as required.
- Requirements:
- Clear criminal record check and satisfactory employment references.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without restriction.
