About the role
We are currently seeking a candidate who is qualified for the role of Dimensional/Visual Inspector. This role focuses on ensuring the quality of complex parts and assemblies through rigorous dimensional checks, testing setups, and final visual inspections. Additionally, you will be responsible for isolating and analyzing defects, as well as recommending process improvements to resolve technical difficulties.
Base wage: $24.00 - $28.70 / hour
Location: 400 Highway 6 N, Dundas, ON L9H 7K4

We have an opening on 2nd Shift which provides a $1.00 shift premium. The hours will typically be Monday to Friday 3:30pm – 12:00am.
Typical Duties Include (but are not limited to):
- Perform inspections for dimensional accuracy of highly diversified or complex parts and assemblies
- Apply knowledge of inspection practices and procedures
- Making inspection layouts, testing setup, gauging, and isolating and analyzing defective operating conditions
- Recommend changes to assist in solving operational and technical difficulties
- Perform final visual inspection and visual pack while ensuring all quality requirements are met
Key Skill Requirements:
- Excellent visual accuracy skills
- Strong Inter-personal and inter-departmental communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment
- Understanding of engineering drawings and written reports
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively follow health & safety and quality processes and policies
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Very detail-oriented in writing capabilities
Key Experience/Education:
- Mechanical Engineering Technician (NDE) Diploma or similar educational background is an asset
- 1 to 2 years of related work experience is required
- Knowledge of non-destructive evaluation (NDE) processes is an asset
- Familiarity with basic dimensional inspection methods and tools (for example: Vernier calipers, height gauges, dial indicators) is required
- Experience with CMM is an asset
- Experience in the quality control field is an asset
- Familiarity with ISO quality system an asset
