Job Summary
Seasonal Traveling Merchandiser - Toronto Area
The Merchandiser is responsible for ensuring that product is merchandised on the shelve in a timely manner, setting up and tearing down displays and clearing any unwanted products from the shelves. The Merchandiser is required to visit different big box retail stores weekly.
This is a seasonal position from May 4th to end of August. This role requires you to drive your own vehicle and be able to constantly lift/move 30-40 pounds. Pay is based on experience usually starting at $20 CAD an hour.
Essential Job Functions *

Ensure merchandise is displayed appropriately and strategically with proper signage and shelf placement.

Build and maintain product displays.

Maintain housekeeping standards.

Bring issues and discrepancies to the attention of the Detailer or Detailer Supervisor.

Comply with company policies and procedures.
-
Follow store safety rules and work in a safe and healthy manner.

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent.

0-2 years as a representative or similar job in a big box retailer environment is preferred.
Competencies – Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency with MS Office, specifically Outlook.
- Performs function with a sense of purpose and a degree of urgency.
- Creates a positive work environment by demonstrating and sharing functional/technical knowledge.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on teamwork.
- Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills (oral & written).
