About the Role
Reporting to the Controller and working closely with the Payroll Coordinator, the Payroll Assistant plays a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely execution of payroll. The ideal candidate is an organized, proactive self-starter who thrives in a dynamic accounting team environment.
Hourly Pay Range: $24.00 - $27.00

Strong attention to detail and effective time management skills.

Communicating both written and verbally.

Taking initiative.

Working in collaboration with different teams.

Handling sensitive information in a confidential manner.
What you’ll be doing
-
Working with the Payroll Coordinator to ensure payroll is executed timely and accurately.

Maintaining employee records.
-
Preparing Government remittances and ROE’s.
-
Assisting with year-end preparation and reporting.
-
Performing intercompany billings.
-
Processing the employee RRSP program.
-
Other accounting and admin duties as required.
What we’re looking for
-
Experience in a related role preferred.

Minimum Grade 12 diploma.
-
Post Secondary education in Accounting or Payroll fields considered an asset.

Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel.

Good understanding of accounting principles.
