Expected Compensation

The expected hiring range for this role is $120,000 – $150,000, based on a 35-hour work week. Actual salary will depend on qualifications, experience, market conditions, and internal equity.

Westland also offers a competitive annual short-term incentive program that enables employees to share in the rewards of the business and emphasizes the measures that are key to our success.

Why we’ll love you

  • Progressive experience in compensation or total rewards, including exposure to benefits
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with a strong track record of coaching and developing team members
  • Deep expertise in compensation design, benchmarking, and market analysis
  • Strong understanding of pay equity, compliance, and regulatory considerations
  • Advanced analytical capability, including Excel-based modeling and data interpretation
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders and influencing complex decisions
  • Proven ability to lead projects and drive process improvements
  • Experience with HRIS systems (Dayforce preferred)
  • CCP designation (or in progress) is an asset
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable insights

Once here you’ll

  • Design, implement, and evolve compensation structures, programs, and policies aligned to business strategy and market competitiveness
  • Provide expert consultation to leaders, HR Business Partners, and recruiters on pay decisions, job architecture, and compensation policy interpretation
  • Lead key compensation initiatives, including structure reviews, pay equity analysis, and incentive design, bringing forward insights and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Oversee benefits and disability programs, ensuring effective delivery, continuous improvement, and alignment with employee needs and organizational priorities
  • Leverage data and analytics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, translating insights into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Own and optimize compensation and benefits modules within Dayforce, acting as a subject matter expert for configuration, enhancements, reporting, and process efficiency
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, providing coaching, direction, and support while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
