Join the Online Therapy Unit for Service, Education and Research at the University of Regina and be part of an innovative team transforming access to mental health care across Saskatchewan. As a Research Associate – Therapy Team, you will contribute to the delivery and advancement of Internet-delivered Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (ICBT), a cutting-edge approach that combines evidence-based care with digital accessibility.

In this role, you will make a meaningful impact by supporting clients through intake screening and providing direct therapeutic services via secure messaging and telephone. You will work within a collaborative, research-driven environment dedicated to improving mental health outcomes and expanding access to care.

This position is ideal for a motivated and compassionate Masters trained clinician who is registered and in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists, the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers, or the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. You will gain valuable experience contributing to applied research, including evaluating service delivery, identifying strengths and challenges in ICBT, and helping shape the future of digital mental health services.

The successful candidate will follow established research and ethical protocols, maintain high standards of client confidentiality and record-keeping, and actively contribute to ongoing program development and evaluation.

Position Requirements

Master’s Degree in Social Work/Psychology/ Educational Psychology with a combination of relevant skills and experience in mental health.

  • The successful candidate must be registered in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists, the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers, or the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association for the duration of their employment.
  • Must have the ability to be self directed and work independently within a team
  • Must have skill in complex decision-making and problem-solving ability through application of knowledge, critical thinking and sound clinical, legal and ethical judgment.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work with other providers and research team.
  • Must have highly developed written and oral communication skills
  • Must have strong computer skills.
  • Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Previous experience working with a mental health population is an asset.
  • Previous experience conducting assessments on the phone is an asset.
  • Preference will be given to candidates that possess a combination of both clinical and research experience.

Physical Demands Pay Grade As Per CUPE 5791 Research Salary Range ($73,846.50- $ 84,396.00 annually) Dependant on experience and training of candidate. Status Term Work Hours

The hours of work for this position are Monday- Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm (37.5 hours per week)

This position is on location at the University of Regina, remote work is not available.
