About the role

Lead CPA Ontario’s PSI Partnerships and Accreditation

To Elevate Accounting Education

CPA Ontario is currently in search of a PSI Relations Officer to manage strategic partnerships with CPA-Accredited Post-Secondary Institutions (PSIs), managing program accreditation, funding, and quality assurance. In this role you will oversee the CPA Accreditation process, support operational and policy development, and administer funding and support initiatives. You will also support the development of the CPA Accreditation process for the new CPA Professional Program. This role also ensures alignment with CPA Ontario’s standards and supports the advancement of the accounting profession.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Managing the development of the Accredited PSI Pathway partnerships and the related accreditation process. This includes supporting the development of accreditation evaluation frameworks, application and renewal processes, quality assurance and governance processes.

Acting as a key relationship manager with Accredited PSIs while working with the PSI Director and Specialist to oversee the development and continuous delivery of the PSI graduate programs and providing support and guidance for the accreditation process.

Managing the CPA accreditation process for the Accredited PSI Pathway, managing and staffing the CPA Ontario Accreditation Review Team, performing accreditation reviews of program proposals and content, executing all related agreements, maintaining the CPA-Accredited program courses and performing annual program quality assurance processes and managing all related communications and queries.

Supporting the development of the operational Accredited PSI pathway program/student processes, including review and development of policies related to these programs.

Manage the development of the CPA Ontario PSI funding program and the related operational funding process which includes reviewing proposals, budgets, and annual reports and administering the quality assurance and reporting processes.

Overseeing department budgets, completing variance analysis and the accruals process.

Who You Are:

A CPA in good standing with at least 5 years of post-designation experience, and/or a degree in Education or another relevant field, with a preference for a Master’s degree and/or prior experience in higher education. Familiarity with the post-secondary education system in Canada is required.

A clear and confident communicator with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and senior leadership.

Adept at business writing and producing communications for a variety of audiences.

Analytical and detail-oriented, with sound judgment and decision-making.

Technically savvy and knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint and Teams and ideally have experience with Salesforce and Power BI.

Highly organized and adaptable, with proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
