Salary: $90,000 - $105,000 CAD
About SkyAlyne
SkyAlyne is a team of defense, training, simulation, and aviation industry experts assembled from across Canada, working to prepare the next generation of RCAF Pilots and Aircrew as the Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) program provider for the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF). SkyAlyne was formed in 2018 as a partnership between CAE and KF Aerospace, two Canadian aviation, training, and defense leaders. The partnership was built to jointly answer the call for the Government of Canada’s FAcT program. In 2023 SkyAlyne was named the preferred bidder, and in 2024, was officially contracted to partner with the RCAF and deliver the FAcT program. We are now building a new team to deliver the FAcT program.
The scope of the FAcT program includes all training and in-service support requirements needed to prepare Pilots, Air Combat Systems Officers, and Airborne Electronic Sensor Operators to meet the future aerospace requirements of the RCAF. The FAcT program is overseen from a Joint Management Office at SkyAlyne’s Ottawa headquarters in Kanata, with three operational bases: Moose Jaw, SK, Southport, MB, and Winnipeg, MB.
In collaboration with the Government of Canada and several major Canadian subcontractors, Team SkyAlyne will provide live-flying, simulator and classroom-based training, facilities construction and management, information management and information technology support, site support services, aircraft maintenance and much more.

Job Overview
As part of the Systems Engineering and Integration team, the Requirements Management Specialist plays a key role in the development and management of the requirements baseline for the Future Aircrew in Training (FAcT) program while contributing to the supporting process and procedures. Core responsibilities include traceability, change, validation and configuration management of program requirement while monitoring baseline and reporting progress to ensure alignment between program requirements and execution. This role is instrumental in enabling a structured, transparent and maintaining compliance in meeting requirements throughout the program.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer the requirements database in IBM DOORS NG to ensure data integrity, version control and accessibility.
- Manage the requirements baseline ensuring alignment with program objectives.
- Develop, document, and maintain the Requirements Verification Traceability Matrix.
- Support the development and delivery of the functional, allocated, and product/services baselines.
- Development and maintenance of reports and metrics.
- Interface with Program Management and Integrated Product Team (IPT) leads to identify required work products and services.
- Assist with the development, documentation, and maintenance of the requirements management processes and procedures.
- Participate in the analysis of proposed program changes to determine the effect on the overall program.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization and tool enhancement
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field AND/OR experience in the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) training, flight operations, or a related aviation/ military environment that demonstrates a strong understanding of operation requirements and system integration.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in a requirements management role.
- Proven experience managing requirements throughout a project lifecycle.
- Proven experience in producing KPIs to monitor requirements management.
- Experience utilizing database solutions for requirements management (such as IBM DOORS NG) is an asset.
- Experience with programming languages (python, javascript) would be an asset.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills and be able to interface/support large teams including customers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Experience in the Defence and Aerospace industries would be an asset.
- Be able to hold a Government of Canada Security Clearance (Secret level) and Controlled Goods Clearance.
- Eligible to work in Canada.
- Strong oral and written English language capabilities.
- Fluency in French would be an asset.
