About the role

This posting will be used to fill 1 Permanent full-time positions working 75 bi-weekly. It will establish a 12-month eligibility list which may be used to fill similar positions.

This job is based in the thriving and diverse city of Whitehorse in the beautiful Yukon.

Our team

As the Family and Children’s Services (FCS) Information Management Lead, you are responsible for the effective and systematic management of the branch’s information assets in accordance with Yukon Government’s information classification systems and the Department of Health and Social Services legislation and policies.

Your role

Reporting to the Manager, Operations, you will be the subject matter expert for FCS management of information assets. You will provide advice, direction and recommendations as it relates to the management of information assets and interpret/implement current record retention and disposition schedules (RRDS). You require to have a strong understanding of relevant legislation (e.g. Child and Family Services Act, Yukon Archives Act, Health Information Privacy and Management Act, etc.) and how each regulatory act may impact and/or support the retention and disposition of FCS’ information assets.

Essential qualifications

Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the qualifications below. Selections for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.

  • Recent experience in leading teams

  • Recent experience managing information assets in accordance with approved record retention and disposition schedules or authorities

  • Experience with information asset quality assurance

  • Experience interpreting record retention and disposition schedules or authorities, relevant legislation, policies, procedures or standards

  • Coursework and/or training in office administration, records management, archival science, project management or related programs would be considered an asset

This job requires you to perform, and/or be exposed to, the following:

  • Some travel within Whitehorse
  • required to lift heavy boxes as much as 12 kg.
