Our Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate has a strong understanding of engineering consulting, internal client strategy, operational KPIs, and the ability to navigate the unique challenges and opportunities of a project-based environment. You are a trusted advisor to leadership and bring a balanced approach of strategic thinking and practical execution.
A Day in the Life
This position collaborates with cross-functional teams to align people strategies with business objectives, leveraging data and insights to support decision-making and operational effectiveness.
Additional key responsibilities include:

Collaborate with HR and operations stakeholders to develop and implement HR strategies that support Allnorth’s goals and objectives.

Act as a trusted advisor and provide guidance to managers and team members on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
-
Partner with hiring managers and the internal Talent Acquisition team to support workforce planning, recruitment efforts, and successful onboarding.
-
Support and enhance performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and development planning.
-
Provide guidance on employee relations matters, conflict resolution, and change management initiatives.
-
Collaborate with the HR team to support competitive compensation and benefit programs through market benchmarking.
-
Identify training needs and partner with Learning & Development to enhance team member capabilities.
-
Ensure HR policies and procedures comply with Canadian employment legislation; familiarity with U.S. employment law is considered an asset.
-
Utilize HR data and analytics to identify trends, measure effectiveness, and provide actionable insights.
-
Lead or participate in HR projects including leadership development, HR technology implementation, and process improvement initiatives.

Travel up to 20% to support regional and field operations.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
-
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
-
8+ years of progressive HR experience, including experience operating as an HR Business Partner within engineering consulting, construction, or a project-based environment.
-
Strong knowledge of Canadian/Provincial employment law and human rights legislation; familiarity with U.S. employment law is an asset.
-
Experience supporting disability management and administering drug and alcohol policies.
-
Demonstrated experience in employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition partnership, and organizational development.
-
Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to reprioritize in a high-volume portfolio.
-
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
