About the role
Permanent full-time Occupational Therapist position is available now in Kelowna. This position supports long-term care clients across two sites. This position works approximately 26.25 hours per week at Cottonwoods Care Centre and 11.25 hours per week at Mountainview Village. This position requires a valid BC drivers license and personal vehicle suitable for work purposes.
Days of Work: Monday to Friday
Hours of work: 08:00-16:00

About the position:
The Occupational Therapist works independently and as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, and may be providing a full range of occupational therapy services across inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community settings.

Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.

Implement therapy programs to promote functional independence and optimal health outcomes.

Provide consultation, education, and support to clients and their caregivers.

Prescribe and recommend appropriate equipment to enhance daily living.

Participate in program planning, quality assurance initiatives, research, and departmental meetings.

Offer guidance and work direction to rehabilitation assistants regarding transfer of function.

Graduation from a recognized occupational therapy program.
Full practicing registration as an Occupational Therapist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC).
Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
Valid BC Driver’s license.
