Overview of Position:
Cobra Mechanical Ltd. a division of Cobra Enterprises, Is seeking an experienced Journeyman Plumber - Mechanical Foreman (Boilers & Hydronics) to lead our mechanical team on projects involving boiler systems, piping installations, and hydronic heating systems. The ideal candidate is a Journeyman Plumber or Pipefitter with several years of hands-on experience in hydronics and proven leadership capabilities in field supervision.
The Journeyman Plumber - Mechanical Foreman (Boilers & Hydronics) must have a strong dedication to health and safety in the workplace, ensuring they perform their duties in accordance with Cobra Enterprises Ltd.’s and Cobra Mechanicals policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of hydronic and mechanical crews.
- Install, repair, and maintain boilers, pumps, piping, valves, and other hydronic system components.
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, and mechanical drawings to ensure accurate installation and project compliance.
- Lead safety talks and ensure all work is performed in accordance with company and site safety policies.
- Collaborate with project managers and estimators to ensure schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Train and mentor apprentices and junior plumbers/pipefitters.
- Conduct system testing, balancing, and commissioning of hydronic systems.
- Travel to remote locations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Journeyman Plumber or Steamfitter/Pipefitter certification (Red Seal preferred).
- 5+ years of relevant experience in hydronic and boiler systems.
- Previous supervisory or foreman experience in mechanical construction.
- Strong understanding of piping schematics, system layouts, and hydronic controls.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Other Qualifications:
- Must be aware of the physical demands of the position
- Proven abilities, and strong organization skills in completing the task assigned.
- Must have good coordination and manual dexterity
- Willing to work as part of team or independently with little direction
- Customer service orientated
- Reliability to commute
- Ability to work in a team environment and Independently.
Work conditions:
Travel to off-site locations as necessary, ability to lift 50+ lbs, required safety equipment, hazards associated with the trade, work both indoors and outdoors, construction sites, noise, irregular hours, overtime as required.
