About the Engagement Akkodis is seeking the services of an experienced Product Designer consultant to support the design and evolution of AI-powered search experiences and consumer-facing digital products. This engagement involves collaborating with Product Management, UX Research, Engineering, and Data Science teams to create intuitive, scalable, and data-driven user experiences across search and AI platforms. The ideal consultant will bring strong expertise in interaction design, design systems, prototyping, and experimentation to deliver impactful solutions used by millions of users worldwide. Services to be Provided Design end-to-end user experiences, including user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and detailed design specifications. Design and enhance search engine results page (SERP) experiences and AI-powered product interfaces. Partner with Product Managers and UX Researchers to identify user needs, define hypotheses, and establish measurable success metrics. Utilize design systems and reusable component libraries to create scalable and consistent user experiences. Participate in experimentation initiatives, including A/B testing and feature validation, to inform design decisions. Analyze user research, telemetry, and performance data to continuously improve product experiences. Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, UX Research, and Data Science teams throughout the product development lifecycle. Contribute to design governance and consistency across multiple products and platforms. Expertise Required 5–7+ years of experience designing consumer-facing digital products. Strong expertise in user experience (UX), interaction design, visual design, and information architecture. Proven experience designing end-to-end user journeys and complex workflows. 4–6+ years of experience working with design systems and component-based design. Advanced proficiency with Figma and modern prototyping tools. Experience creating scalable, reusable design patterns. 3–5+ years of experience working within experimentation-driven product environments. Hands-on experience with A/B testing, feature experimentation, and metrics-driven design iteration. Strong ability to translate qualitative research and quantitative insights into user-centered design solutions. Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. Portfolio demonstrating relevant product design work is required. Nice to Have Experience designing search experiences, SERPs, or discovery products. Experience with AI, Generative AI, Copilot, or conversational interfaces. Familiarity with telemetry analysis and behavioral data. Experience contributing to enterprise design systems and UX governance. Experience partnering closely with UX Research and analytics teams. Additional Information Fully remote engagement. Candidates must be located in the Seattle, WA area and available during Pacific Time Zone business hours. Standard schedule of Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. High-memory MacBook Pro will be provided. Candidates must have a minimum of 12 months of remaining Microsoft access eligibility. Contract has the potential to be extended through June 30, 2027. Important This is a business-to-business engagement. Candidates must represent an incorporated entity, hold a valid business number, maintain appropriate insurance, and invoice for services rendered.
