Job Title: Security Architect
Location: Toronto, ON Work Model: Hybrid Duration: 6–12 Months
Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Security Architect to support the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise security architecture for key business systems and programs. The successful candidate will collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to define secure solution architectures aligned with enterprise architecture strategy and organizational security objectives. The role involves designing and implementing security controls, assessing application security, developing architecture roadmaps, and ensuring compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements. The Security Architect will serve as a trusted technical advisor, driving security architecture decisions and promoting best practices across infrastructure and application environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise security architecture. Define architecture roadmaps, transition architectures, and solution architecture documents. Design and implement security controls across applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments. Ensure security architectures align with enterprise standards, business objectives, and regulatory requirements. Assess and continuously improve security processes, procedures, and infrastructure. Build and maintain the security solution architecture lifecycle, methodologies, processes, and deliverables. Provide security architecture guidance to business and technical stakeholders. Drive architecture decisions for infrastructure and application environments. Ensure adherence to architecture standards, principles, and governance processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Undergraduate degree or college diploma in a related field. 10+ years of experience as a Security Architect. Strong experience in information security and cybersecurity strategy, design, implementation, and monitoring.
Broad knowledge across multiple security domains, including
Access Management Cloud Security Risk Management Experience with security frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework (NIST CSF). Experience with enterprise security technologies. Experience with Palo Alto SASE is preferred. Experience providing strategic security guidance within large organizations is an asset.
Preferred Certifications
CISSP CISA CISM CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional) SABSA – Security Architecture Other recognized Information Security certifications
