You are to deliver $1.4 billion in sales orders and 8 million plus units of products shipped to serve patients. You will be responsible for ensuring all customer orders are fulfilled, while maintaining impeccable relationship with our 3PL and distribution network. You will also be the liaison to Novartis for internal and external stakeholders, including custom brokers, for all process related to the movement of goods into the country.
The role reports directly into the Novartis Canada Warehouse & Distribution Manager and will work closely with the Supply Chain cross-functional team.
About the Role
Key responsibilities:
- Inventory Control: Tracking all incoming and outgoing inventory, maintaining accurate records, and overseeing regular physical counts and cycle counts to reconcile actual stock levels with system data.
- Prioritize the on-going shipping process with 3PL according to commercial needs.
- Ensure smooth operations on daily W&D activities, including warehouse, transportation and final mile delivery.
- Troubleshoot on any ad-hoc issues from warehouse and transportation and report to internal stakeholders accordingly.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve efficiencies with 3PL. Actively participate in monthly business reviews and support vendor evaluation and performance improvement plans.
Essential Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain/International Commerce/Business Administration, or relevant hands-on experience in transportation and logistics
- Solid understanding of inventory management and their financial impacts, detail oriented and strong analytical skills
- Excellent organizational, prioritization and time management skills required
- Flexible and comfortable in a dynamic and changing environment.
- Fully functional in various system applications: SAP, excellent MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Power Point)
Desirable Requirements:
- Pharma Industry experience an asset
- Customs and Trade Compliance experience an asset
