VDK Group Inc. is currently seeking to hire a full-time Territory Sales Representative. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth within an assigned territory by building strong relationships with contractors, builders, property managers, and key decision-makers. You will represent VDK’s overhead door product lines, identify new opportunities, and collaborate closely with our estimating, project coordination, and installation teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience from first contact through project completion.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and grow an assigned territory by developing strong relationships with contractors, builders, property managers, and related industry partners
- Prospect and develop new business through cold calls, site visits, networking, referrals, and follow-up on leads
- Promote VDK’s overhead door product offerings, including residential and commercial overhead doors, garage door systems, operators, and related accessories
- Meet with customers to understand project needs, review plans and specifications at a high level, and recommend suitable products and solutions
- Prepare and present product proposals, pricing, and solutions in collaboration with the estimating and internal support teams
- Follow up on quotations, negotiate within approved guidelines, and close sales to meet or exceed monthly/quarterly targets
- Maintain accurate customer records, sales activity, and pipeline updates using CRM tools and internal systems
- Stay current on product lines, installation requirements, industry trends, and competitor activity within the territory
- Attend trade shows, contractor events, and customer meetings to strengthen the VDK brand and expand territory reach
What You’ll Bring
- A confident, customer-focused approach with strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally in construction products (overhead doors, garage doors, building materials, or related products)
- A strong understanding of residential and/or commercial construction practices
- Ability to read and interpret plans/specifications at a practical level to support product selection and quoting conversations
- Strong organization and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize a busy schedule and multiple accounts
- Comfortable working independently in the field while collaborating effectively with internal teams
- Solid computer skills, including experience with CRM systems, Excel, and Microsoft Office applications
- A results-driven mindset with persistence, professionalism, and a commitment to follow-through
- Valid driver’s license
