Summary The Heavy Equipment Operator is involved in the operation of various pieces of equipment to move materials, equipment, snow, and dirt. This work exists primarily outdoors and may be physically demanding.
Location: CNRL - Fort McMurray, AB
Accommodation : Camp available
Travel: Flights provided from Edmonton or Calgary
Job Duties
- Comply with Company and Client Safety rules, as well as OH&S standards
- Operate various pieces of equipment, including but not limited to: side booms, dozers, graders, loaders, excavators, bobcats, and zoom booms
- Move materials/equipment, snow, and dirt
- Load/unload materials
- Assist in demolition work
- Excavate trenches
- Complete pre-job equipment inspections
- Attend required safety and tailgate/toolbox meetings
- May perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be in possession of a valid operator’s card for the equipment utilized
- Must be in possession of a valid Class 5 driver's license (non-GDL)
- Must have previous experience operating equipment on an industrial work site
- Experience working in tight spaces is considered an asset
- CSTS-09, CSO, or BSO
- Must be physically able to lift 50lbs
- Able to work well in a team environment
- Organized and self-motivated
