Shuswap Orthodontics is looking for a passionate and energetic full-time Certified Orthodontic Assistant to join our newly renovated, state-of-the-art Orthodontic clinic in Salmon Arm, BC.

How You’ll Make An Impact
- Providing all aspects of clinical patient care in a professional, efficient, and caring manner.
- Sterilization procedures, setting up the operatories, taking x-rays, photos, and intraoral scans, some lab work.
- Once the completion of the Ortho Module, involved in a wide range of patient care procedures, including direct bond bracket procedures, archwire and appliance adjustments, and Aligner appointments while under the doctor's supervision.
- Building positive relationships with patients, families, and coworkers to ensure the targeted outcome treatment remains on schedule.
- Enter detailed chart/record notations, patient tracking and imaging in the practice management system.
- Provide patient instruction/education.
- Provide reports to parents/guardians.
- Ability to perform other duties as required for the efficient operation of the practice.
The Teammate We’re Looking For
- Certified Dental Assistant and licensed with CDABC
- 1+ years’ experience as a Certified Dental Assistant.
- Completion of Ortho Module is an asset.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills, verbal and written, with a proven ability to build strong relationships to build positive rapport with patients, parents, doctors, fellow team members and the community.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Keen attention to detail and time management.
