Position Summary

Under the general supervision of the Director – Network Operations, the Student – Network will work as part of the network operations team.

Major Responsibilities

  • Input daily schedules into workforce management system.
  • Maintain records of all outstanding work assigned.
  • Audit and track hardware, software and tools with accuracy.
  • Completing regular maintenance on our Network Cabinets and Enclosures.
  • Required to operate landscaping equipment such as a grass trimmer, lawnmower and leaf blower.
  • Perform manual labour such as lifting and organizing hardware and tools.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Completed high school diploma and currently enrolled in technology or electronics at a college or university.
  • Proficient in Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Drive).
  • High accuracy skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with typing and data entry.
  • Must be able to perform physical labour.
  • Maintains a positive attitude and demonstrates a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and work efficiently in a team environment.
  • Professionally represents the Tbaytel brand.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate in a courteous, tactful, and efficient manner.

Conditions of Employment

  • To qualify as a student, you must be in full-time attendance in your graduating year of High School or at a Post-Secondary School prior to summer employment and be returning to a Post-Secondary School on a full-time basis in the fall of this year.
  • 2026-2027 Proof of Enrollment.
  • Successfully undergo a satisfactory Criminal Records Check.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Ontario Class G licence.
  • Must remain a competent driver as defined by the Corporation.

What is a Criminal Records Check?

A Criminal Records Check is a CRC which searches the National repository for criminal records in Canada via the Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC). It also identifies pending criminal code charges and outstanding warrants.
