Job Details

Teaching assignment includes English 8, English First Peoples 10, Genocide Studies 12, Social Studies 10, French 8, French 9/10.

The starting annual salary for this position ranges from $68,492 to $118,751 with the placement on the range based on the category assigned by the TQS, and length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement

Along with a competitive salary and benefits package, teachers in Fort Nelson are eligible for the Federal Student Loan Forgiveness Program, and the Northern Resident's deduction for income tax!

Qualifications

  • Successful secondary classroom teaching experience.
  • Knowledge of, and willingness to use, current best practices in education.
  • Familiarity with the BC Curriculum.
  • A strong team orientation.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • A desire to grow professionally.
  • Clear criminal record.
  • All applicants must be eligible for certification in BC through the BC Teacher Regulation Branch.
