QA Engineer - AI AutomationLocation: Vancouver, BC In Office Role
About VoPay International Inc. Our integrated technology gives product managers and developers the flexibility and speed to build innovative financial solutions in a rapidly evolving industry.
Duties:

Design, build, and maintain automated test suites — UI, API, end-to-end, regression — across VoPay's payments platform and partner integrations.

Use AI tools aggressively to accelerate test creation: Claude Code and GenAI assistants for test plans, test cases, automation scaffolding, test data, and failure summaries.

Build reusable frameworks and tooling that let the broader engineering org self-serve on quality.

Partner with product and engineering from the design phase; surface edge cases around money movement, reconciliation, and compliance.

Own CI/CD test pipelines and keep suites fast, deterministic, and trusted.

Evaluate emerging AI testing capabilities — test generation, smart prioritization, log analysis, self-healing locators — and bring the best into our practice.
Qualifications:
- Strong coding background.
- Hands-on experience with modern automation frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, REST Assured, Postman/Newman).
- Comfort designing API-level tests; solid grasp of HTTP, auth flows, idempotency, and webhooks.
- Day-to-day use of AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT) — with a point of view on where they help and where they don't.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) and testing fundamentals like risk-based prioritization and the test pyramid.
- Bias toward automating repetition and writing things down.
