As a Survey Data Engineer, you know the importance of data to the business. You design and set up the workflow that orchestrates the entire Survey process. You make sure that data is accessible and easy to use, so that it can be used for routine and ad-hoc analysis. You strive to improve the process in every way. You draw on your considerable experience in understanding Data, building complex technical requirements, mapping and troubleshooting Data issues survey data to life to solve sometimes complex problems
We are committed to fair and transparent compensation. The salary range for this role is based on several factors including experience, skills, and qualifications and is $100,000 to $120,000 CAD.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Give colleagues and clients the tools to find and use data for routine and non-routine analysis.

Use your sound eye for business to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Analyze current business practices, processes, and procedures to spot future opportunities.

Assess client needs to build bespoke data design services.

Provide exceptional Support to our business partners

Build the building blocks for transforming enterprise data solutions.

Design and build modern data pipelines
-
Implement effective metrics and monitoring.

Be comfortable making your own decisions and guiding your colleagues.

Design and develop technical best practices for modeling and report design.
Required Skills

Transforming business needs into technical solutions

Mapping data and analytics

Data profiling, cataloguing, and mapping to enable the design and build of technical data flows.

Use proven methods to solve business problems using Azure Databricks
-
Building or being part of the building of an Enterprise Semantic layer
-
Experience in preparing data for and building pipelines and architecture.
-
Capable of working independently to solve problems under deadlines and to manage multiple projects/priorities under time constraints.

Review functional and design specifications to ensure a full understanding of individual deliverables.
Required Experience
-
2+ years of hands-on experience with both Databricks and Microsoft Azure Stack to support new system architectures.
-
Experienced with designing and deploying end-to-end solutions with a cloud platform's analytic services including storage, permissions, private cloud, Infrastructure as Code (IAC), database services, virtual machines, and parallel processing technologies.

You possess a working knowledge of agile development methodologies including DevOps concepts.

Experience of working with a Survey platform, e.g. Qualtrics, Survey Monkey

You're well-versed in version control platforms like Git

Solid understanding and capability in Python for data tasks and integration.
