Administrative Assistant
Work Location: CA-BC-Burnaby
Position Type: Full Time
Pay: 21.00 CAD / hr (22.00 after probation)
Overview:
Northwest Tech-Con Systems is currently seeking an Office Assistant to join our team in the Burnaby, BC . The candidate will be responsible for assisting in the smooth work flow of the office by assisting in administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, energetic, eager to learn team player.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Office Manager in Basic Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Entry
- Answer telephone calls, qualify inquires and direct them to the appropriate contact.
- Types and distributes all correspondence, including letters, emails, proposals, contracts for assigned managers.
- Gathers material and mails packages as required ? Enter relevant information into various sales systems.
- Inventory control and ordering.
- Filing Work Orders, Purchase Orders
- Coordination with other team members in other departments
- Manage other duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Must have strong English communication skills both verbal and written, second language an asset.
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Self-motivated with high energy levels and a positive attitude.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced working environment.
- Able to work independently under tight timelines and able to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to work effectively in an office environment, must be familiar with typical office machines: fax, photocopier etc.
