About the role
Job Title: Financial Analyst
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid • 3 days/week onsite – Tuesday mandatory)
Duration: 15 months
Contract Type: T4/IC
Pay Rate: $52.42/Hour
The Senior Analyst is accountable for:

Populating month end reports with financial results and other applicable information needed to perform required analysis.

Lead in the analysis and investigation of month end variances (revenue and expenses).

Lead in the population of the forecast and plan models.
-
Accumulate and gather required information to address external and internal ad hoc requests.

Identify and recommend improvement opportunities for processes, workflows and client services.
-
Support and assist team members with modeling and analysis, as required.
Must Have Requirements:

5+ years’ worth of experience Accounting/Finance background
-
Prior experience with forecasts, management reporting , journal entries (closing the books) and reconciliation ideally in large corporation
-
Excel: Pivot tables, macros etc
-
University degree preferably with accounting/finance

Advanced communication skills
Nice to have skills/experience:
-
Working towards a professional accounting, or finance designation – CA, CMA, CGA, CPA, and/or CFA
Soft Skills:

Advanced communication skills

Independent

Highly organized

Taking initiative within the role
Education/Certifications:
- University degree preferably with accounting/finance
