About The Role
We are looking for dedicated Pharmacy Assistants / Technicians to join our busy team based at Griffith Base Hospital. In this role, you will work closely with our pharmacists to deliver exceptional healthcare and safe medication management to our community. You will be the first point of contact for patient inquiries and play a vital role in the smooth, accurate operation of our dispensary.
What roles we have on offer (your desired hours can be further discussed at Interview):
Permanent Part Time – 16 hours per week
Temporary Part Time – 22 hours per week (from 01 Sept, 2026 until 30 Nov, 2026) Casual opportunities
As the Pharmacy Assistant or Technician, you will be responsible for
Providing patient-focused pharmacy services, including inpatient and outpatient dispensing and related pharmacy support activities, in accordance with departmental policies, procedures and legislative requirements. Undertaking medication distribution activities to ensure the safe, accurate and timely supply of medicines throughout the hospital. Performing medication ordering and inventory management activities for the Pharmacy Department and patient care areas. Maintaining medication storage areas within the pharmacy and clinical wards, including stock rotation, expiry date monitoring and replenishment of medicines. Supporting safe medication management through accurate record keeping, stock control and quality assurance activities. Working collaboratively with pharmacists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Demonstrate
Previous experience in a community or hospital pharmacy setting, or a similar environment Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise workflow and meet deadlines A nationally recognised Pharmacy Technician Certificate III or IV qualification, or an equivalent recognised qualification (required for appointment to a Pharmacy Technician role) Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, carers and healthcare staff.
