Woodview Mental Health & Autism Services offers a broad spectrum of services for children, youth, adults and their families facing mental health, autism, and developmental challenges. Meaningful work that inspires hope and strengthens lives A positive, supportive culture with flexibility where possible A commitment to workplace wellness, ongoing training, and professional development opportunities The Role The Hourly Instructor Therapist with Woodview's Brantford Autism Services provides individualized and group-based supports to children, youth, and families in centre, home, community, and partner-agency settings, using Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) principles.

Key Responsibilities (May Include but are not limited to)

Direct ABA service delivery: Work one-to-one and in small groups with children and youth with autism; service hours are generally Monday–Friday 8:30am–4:30pm with evening shifts 5:00pm–8:00pm and Saturday 8:30am–12:30pm, as required. Program implementation & teamwork: Implement programs under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor and/or Senior Therapist as part of a team-based environment. Data & materials: Keep accurate data, complete graphing, and prepare/create materials for clients. Program quality & culture: Provide quality and supportive programming while contributing to a positive, team-based working environment. Coverage support: Be available to cover sessions for vacation and staff illness in addition to regularly scheduled sessions each week.

Qualifications

Minimum 6 months practical/applied experience in ABA Professional experience working with children with autism Knowledge of ABA principles obtained through completion of the Autism and Behavioural Sciences certificate (or equivalent) Access to a vehicle, valid driver’s licence, and vehicle insurance (ability to transport clients) Assets: Practical experience collecting, graphing, and analyzing data Current First Aid, CPR, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification Experience providing parent coaching and/or running groups French as a second language Additional Information Flexible scheduling including evenings and weekend We thank all candidates but only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
