Job Description
STUDENT POSITION
ASSISTANT TECHNICIAN IN ARBORICULTURE
SUMMER 2026
The City of Dollard-des-Ormeaux wishes to recruit a student, who will be returning as a full time student in the Fall 2026 session.
Tasks
- Patrol the city’s territory to enforce the trees By-law;
- Check the condition of the trees and plants as well as their structural and environmental conditions;
- Answer residents for any questions on urban forestry;
- Follow up on various arboriculture contract: planting, grubbing, TreeAzin, arboricultural work;
- Participate in private and public trees inventory;
- Perform data entry
- Follow up with contactors working for the arboriculture division;
- Prepare technical documents for the inspectors and contractors;
- Participate in events in connection with forestry industry.
Qualifications required
Qualifications
- Collegial or University studies in related field
- Driver’s permit
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Bilingualism essential – French and English, spoken and written

Monday to Friday from 6 h 45 to 15 h (Friday 11 h 45)
