Position Status: Permanent Full-Time

Description of the Position:

The Manager, Corporate Partnerships is an integral member of the Corporate Partnerships team and will identify, build and manage productive relationships with stakeholders and corporate partners in key sectors to secure support for the Precision Child Health campaign and beyond. The Manager will focus on business development in the B2C space to grow new business and existing partnerships. This includes partner identification, cultivation, proposal development and presentations, negotiation and stewardship activities. They will report to the Director, Cause Marketing and Activation.

In this role you will:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with corporations in the B2C & B2B space, including the very largest enterprises and mid-market businesses in emerging sectors
  • Key focus on corporate philanthropy
  • Develop and manage a portfolio of 50+ key corporate partners and prospects
  • Proactively book and lead meetings with prospective and existing corporate partners to initiate outreach, build relationships, and identify opportunities for new business and partnership growth
  • Develop cultivation and solicitation strategies, creating compelling, multi-channel proposals including cause marketing, sponsorship, philanthropic gifts and employee giving
  • Play a key role in working with senior volunteers and colleagues to identify donor prospects
  • Work collaboratively and effectively across the foundation with teams including Activation, Business Intelligence & Information Technology, Philanthropy, Leadership Giving, Legal, Volunteer Services, and Stewardship & Donor Relations
  • Develop donor acquisition, retention and migration strategies for corporate donors
  • Cultivate effective relationships within the hospital to support program alignment, proposal development, donor cultivation, solicitation and stewardship
  • Track donor activity and maintain donor records in CRM database (KYDS)
  • Develop a network of contacts interested in advancing the mission and success of SickKids Foundation and the Hospital for Sick Children
  • Participate in team and cross-functional projects as assigned

Qualifications:

While we know that for any job posting no one candidate will possess the qualifications being sought in equal measure, below is an outline of the qualifications we believe are important for a candidate to bring to the position or for the successful candidate to develop while in the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, with a focus in fundraising, marketing, sales or other applicable disciplines
  • Minimum of five (5) years relevant experience in cause marketing, corporate fundraising and B2C business development combined with a proven track record exceeding revenue targets
  • An exceptional fundraiser or salesperson with experience managing complex customer relationships at the C-Suite level through to interns
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with donors, volunteers, hospital representatives and other key stakeholders
  • The ability to articulate the importance and case for support of paediatric healthcare
  • Exceptional networking and new business development skills
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize and multi-task
  • Go-getter, team player and relationship-builder
  • Creative, resourceful, cost-efficient and intuitively driven
  • The ability to think strategically and work independently in directing new initiatives, new business or enhancing existing programs
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking and storytelling
  • Organized, detailed oriented, with exceptional follow through
  • Experience with relational databases will be considered an asset

Total Compensation Package:

Hiring Salary Range: $82,064.00 – $102,582.00; with the ability to progress to a maximum of $117,971.00. To ensure fair and equitable pay at SickKids Foundation, placement on the salary range will be based on your years of experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the Manager, Corporate Partnerships.
