Job Description Senior RAM and Safety Engineer – Rail Transit Systems Division
Ready to take your engineering and leadership experience to the next level to work on complex problems that will have a huge impact on the local community? Parsons is now hiring a Senior RAMS Engineer working within a team of professionals working on specific projects or helping to develop our expanding portfolio of projects. The role would require you to be on-site in Burnaby, BC.
Parsons’ extensive experience in this field, combined with your technical expertise, will propel your career forward with opportunities for advancement with top performance. We need our Senior Engineers to be versatile as well as have exceptional communication and analytical skills. In this role, reporting to the Safety Assurance Manager you will share your expertise, leading specific tasks within the Systems Assurance team for a major Rail Systems Infrastructure project.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related field)
- 10+ years of related work experience in the Railway sector
- Professional Engineer registration with active membership in a professional engineering society is an advantage
- Proven ability to perform in a team environment, working to project deadlines..
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of industry practices, standards, and regulations is required, including the EN-50126 Railway RAM and Safety suite of standards, as well as the ISO/IEC/IEEE-15288 System Engineering Standard
- Must also possess a thorough knowledge of current rail transit technology and an understanding of the hazards associated in rail transit, and the methods and tools used to identify and manage those hazards.
This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.

Salary Range $95,300 - $177,100
