We’re looking for an experiencedTechnical Managerto join ourOriented Strand Board (OSB)mill located in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan. Meadow Lake employs 155 employees and safely and sustainably produces680 million square feet of OSB every yearfor customers around the world so they can build their homes and their communities.
Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

Experience inleading the organizationand supervision of technical aspects ofprocess improvements, technology, research and development.

Demonstratedknowledge of OSB/EWP (Engineered Wood Products) manufacturing processes. -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. -Commitment to safety.

Familiarity withquality management systems(e.g., ISO 9001) andcontinuous improvement methodologies(e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
-
Strongstatistical knowledgeandcomputer literacy. -Degree or diplomainWood Science, Forestry,**Engineering,**or a related technical field.

In this role, you will:
-Lead with a strong focus on safety.
-
Serve as anactive member of both the site Leadership Team and the Tolko Product Quality & Technical Group. -Provide feedbackand support to our Process Specialists/Engineers .
-
Assist in thedevelopment and improvement of products and processes.
-
Works with theProduct Quality & Technical Groupon thedeployment, ongoing execution, and continuous improvementof the TolkoQuality Management System(TQM 9000) at site. -Lead and resolve quality issueswithin areas of responsibility, ensuring alignment with production goals and safety standards. -Investigate site related customer claims& complaints and ensureeffective corrective actionsare implemented.

Promote aculture of continuous improvement.

Stay on top ofnew industry developments and standardsin technology and customer satisfaction in order torecommend, plan, and organize actionsthat will keep the mill current. -Interact with our Sales and Production teamsand keep the product cost model current.

Use yourknowledge of code requirements, third-party testingagencies and experience in statistical process control to**plan,**organize and implement resin or mill trials.
