Casual Instructional Replacement Personnel ~ Palliser School Division
Locations: Arrowwood Community School, Milo Community School & Brant Christian School
Anticipated Start Date: December 1, 2025

Instructional Replacement Personnel:
- Assumes the role of classroom supervisor if a certificated substitute teacher is not available to cover a single-day teacher absence.
- They are supervised by a school administrator regularly throughout the day. Casual Instructional Replacement Personnel will not be used in consecutive days in the same classroom unless no other certificated substitute teacher is available.
- Present the learning activity prepared by the classroom teacher.
- Classroom Supervisors do not assess, plan lessons, instruct nor contact parents about concerns;
- Supervise students and maintain an environment that is conducive to student learning;
- Documenting the progress of the daily plan to the supervising administrator; and
- Responsible for other duties assigned by the supervising administrator.
EDUCATION:
- Degree other than Education; Preferred
- Post-secondary diplomas, or certificates
- Current Palliser School Division Certified Educational Assistants.
COMPENSATION:
- Full Day: $175
- Half Day $87.50
- FULL DAY: 7 HOURS HALF DAY: 3.5 HOURS anything over 3.5 hours will be paid a full day.

About Palliser School Division
The Palliser Regional Schools is a school jurisdiction located in southern Alberta. The geographical area stretches from just south of Lethbridge to the Bow River south of Calgary. Palliser Centre houses the Central Office Administration, Maintenance and Transportation Services and is located in the City of Lethbridge. In addition, a satellite Maintenance Shop has been set up in the Town of Vulcan. The division offers full public education services to approximately 8,1000 students from early childhood services through Grade 12. Palliser has 15 community schools, 17 Hutterian colony schools, 10 Christian alternative schools, nine of which are in Calgary on seven different campuses, four outreach programs, an online school, and two dedicated Low German Mennonite alternative programs. One of our outreach schools and a junior high in one of our community schools also serve the LGM community.
