Responsibilities:

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator plays a crucial role in enhancing the recruitment process by coordinating hiring activities, facilitating effective communication between candidates and hiring managers, and ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience. This role assists in sourcing and identifying top talent, conducting pre-screen interviews, and streamlining the hiring process. Collaborating closely with hiring managers, the Talent Acquisition Coordinator helps meet staffing needs while ensuring new hires align with the organization's goals and culture. Additionally, this role contributes to the continuous improvement of recruitment practices and enhances both the employee and candidate experience.

Major Responsibilities

  • Perform recruitment and selection activities for hourly employees, including posting jobs, screening resumes, prescreening phone interviews, and conducting reference checks.
  • Act as a key point of contact for candidates, and coordinate between geographically dispersed hiring managers, candidates, and references to complete recruitment tasks and ensure a smooth hiring process.
  • Provide ongoing support to the managers (ie. iCIMS training)
  • Ensure compliance with hiring policies, employment laws, and National Safety Code requirements.
  • Maintain and update applicant tracking system and recruitment database.
  • Assist in employer branding initiatives, including social media outreach, job fairs, and recruitment campaigns, in collaboration with the HR and marketing teams.
  • Work with Talent Acquisition Consultant to monitor and manage Indeed spending and sponsorship.
  • Identify areas for improvement in recruitment strategies and processes.
  • Support the team with other various HR tasks and/or projects as needed.

You Possess:

  • 1-3 years of experience in HR, Recruitment, or a similar administrative role.
  • Completion of post-secondary degree or diploma in HR or Business Administration is preferred.
  • General understanding of HR practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite including Excel, Outlook, Word, etc. and the ability to quickly learn new computer applications. I.e., Arrow custom applications, applicant tracking system, and learning management system.
  • Experience using social media/online tools such as Facebook, and LinkedIn, indeed is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and problem solve.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and employees.
  • Strong safety mindset, and demonstrates a sense of responsibility, accountability, and commitment to the organization.
  • Positive team attitude, highly flexible, and solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
