We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our Property Management team as a Building Maintenance Worker . In this role, you will be responsible for the continuous monitoring, operation, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and related systems within government-owned and occupied buildings. Your work will play a vital role in ensuring a safe, healthy, and comfortable environment for all building occupants and visitors, while maintaining cost-effective operations.

Essential Qualifications Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the qualifications below. Selections for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.
- Experience inspecting, maintaining or operating a variety of carpentry, plumbing, heating and electrical systems, as well as other building maintenance work
- Experience diagnosing trouble in all types of building systems and determining the proper method, tools, supplies and equipment for maintenance or repair would be considered an asset.
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.
Desired Knowledge, Skills And Suitability The ideal candidate will possess these qualifications, skills and knowledge, but also demonstrate suitability for the role and organizational culture. Key competencies for success in this role include:
- Knowledge of health and safety practices and procedures
- Effective communication skills
- Effective interpersonal skills

- Strong client service skills
Conditions of Employment This is a designated position within the Yukon public service which requires the following conditions(s) of employment:
- Yukon class 5 driver's license,
- 5th Class Power Engineering Certificate (to be obtained within 1 year of hire),
- RCMP Vulnerable Sector Check.
Job Requirements This is a designated position within the Yukon public service which requires the following job requirements:
- Travel throughout the territory;
- Use personal protective equipment.
