Duties:
-
Maintain regular contact with the Jazz area ensemble directors and instructors.

Assist with organization of studio materials and arranging repertoire.
-
Assist with research related to delivery of studio instruction.
-
Assist with coaching and assessment of techniques as required.
-
Assist students with performance practice, skill-building, technique development and equipment in-between lessons.
-
Assist with preparation for the BU jazz festival
-
Other relevant duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience:
-
Considerable advanced skills and judgment
-
Ability to work independently and/or with others effectively
-
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
-
Strong attention to detail, excellent problem solving skills and self-motivated
-
Basic math skills
Education:
- Preference given to current Brandon University Music student; with enrolment in graduate
program or holding a graduate degree - Specific courses related to the given department/faculty in which the job is needed when
indicated in the posting - Strong academic standing
- Preference given to current Brandon University Music student; with enrolment in graduate
