Compensation And Benefits
- Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $20 per hour
- Benefits: This is a seasonal position eligible for season pass for employees. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, etc.) also available.
Note: This position is not eligible for a service charge payout Job Summary The Banquet Server for the World Cup Event is responsible for delivering food and beverage service in a fast-paced, high-profile environment. This role ensures all products are served according to established standards while maintaining efficiency, cleanliness, and accurate sales tracking. The server is expected to provide guests with prompt, courteous service and create a welcoming atmosphere that enhances their overall event experience.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Serving food and drinks efficiently and professionally.
- Maintaining clean and organized service areas.
- Supporting sustainability efforts through composting and recycling.
- Assisting with event setup, table maintenance, clean-up and trash removal.
- Engaging with guests to ensure satisfaction and create memorable experiences.
This position requires a high level of energy, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service during one of our most exciting events of the season.
Core Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally.
- Clear tables and maintain cleanliness throughout service.
- Expedite food from the culinary team to guests efficiently.
- Prepare service items (e.g., silverware, glassware) and ensure stations are stocked.
- Follow proper sequence and style of service based on event type.
- Support composting, recycling, and sustainability practices.
Pre-Shift & Setup
- Arrive on time, in full uniform, meeting appearance standards.
- Clock in only after meeting appearance requirements.
- Attend daily staff meetings and check in with the Manager for event details.
- Ensure restaurant and bar areas are clean, stocked, and ready before guest arrival.
- Perform opening side work and assist with general building cleanliness.
Guest Interaction & Service
- Greet every guest warmly and immediately upon sight.
- Follow the “Four 10-Foot Rule”: make eye contact, smile, and acknowledge guests.
- Engage in friendly conversation and small talk to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Ensure guests have everything they needs including water, food, beverages.
- Answer guest inquiries and resolve concerns promptly and professionally.
- Thank every guest and invite them to return.
Teamwork & Communication
- Act as a liaison between guests, bartenders, and management.
- Support coworkers through teamwork, mutual respect, and shared responsibilities.
- Maintain a positive, helpful attitude and promote a fun, safe, and sanitary work environment.
- Communicate any guest or employee concerns to management promptly.
End Of Shift
- Review the shift with the Manager on Duty (MOD).
- Assist with clean-up, restocking, and closing duties.
General Expectations
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

- Be polite, respectful, and professional at all times.

Basic Requirements
- Must be at least 15 years old
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to walk for a large part of the work day
- Ability to negotiate stairs
- Ability to lift and move 30# often
- Ability to use, move and load hand trucks
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, any times or days needed
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
- Must be able to hear normal conversations in a busy, crowded environment
- Vision must be within normal range to work safely and to read written information
- Must have the dexterity to use all equipment and utensils normally associated with this position
- Must be fluent in English
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must own non-slip shoes
Preferred Experience And Special Skills
- TIPS certification preferable, may be obtained after employment
