Purpose:
The Pharmacist contributes to the overall function of the pharmacy by helping with dispensing, counselling, and reviewing orders. They assist in the leadership of the pharmacy by maintaining efficient workflow and
training new staff.

Salary: Hourly, commensurate with experience
Job Responsibilities:
- Providing professional functions related to dispensing and pharmaceutical care
- Participating in dispensing, triage of new orders, computer entry, sterile compounding (where applicable), collation of data, counselling -patients, and clinical reviews
- Problem solving and discussion of prescription related issues with clinicians and Care Coordinators
- Ensuring the accuracy of prescriptions dispensed and third-party billing
- Providing professional functions related to dispensing including pharmaceutical care, patient counseling, Med Reviews and Professional Opinions, liaising with other healthcare professionals and documenting interventions and dialogue.
- Assisting the Pharmacy Manager in training staff
- Providing supervision and leadership in the pharmacy team in maintaining an efficient workflow process
Infusion Specific
- Requirement to participate in an on-call rotation
- Requirement to work evening and weekend hours
- Researching the compatibility and stability of Infusion admixtures
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year Pharmacist experience
Must be licensed and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists, expected to adhere to the Standards of Practice with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
Must be trained and registered with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
Experience with Kroll an asset
Experience with sterile compounding is an asset (where applicable)
Skills:
- Punctual and a team player
- Bilingualism, an asset
