About the Role Our client is seeking a Power BI Developer to support a large-scale reporting transformation initiative. This role will focus on rebuilding reporting logic and developing scalable data models within a modern BI environment. This is a hands-on, SQL-heavy role requiring strong data modeling and problem-solving skills, with an opportunity to enhance and mature current reporting capabilities.
Key Responsibilities Rebuild and enhance reports within Power BI (not direct script conversion) Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract and prepare data Design and develop scalable data models (star schema, relationships, granularity) Develop DAX measures to support reporting and business needs Work with hierarchical and relational datasets Create clear, intuitive dashboards and reports for business users Collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet project timelines
Required Experience 6–7+ years of experience in BI / Data / Power BI development Strong SQL expertise (joins, aggregations, query optimization) Proven experience in data modeling and architecture Hands-on experience with Power BI and DAX Ability to work with and interpret complex datasets Experience rebuilding or modernizing reports from legacy systems is preferred Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Nice-to-Have Exposure to financial data or reporting Experience working with hierarchical data or cube-like structures Previous experience in large-scale reporting transformations
