We are currently seeking an experienced, motivated and client-driven individual to join our growing CFO team as a Senior Accounting Advisor, to assist us in providing service excellence, ensuring all aspects of our clients’ needs are met and exceeded. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Review client financial files for accuracy and compliance.
  • Mentor Accounting and Data Advisors, providing feedback on their work.
  • Serve as primary contact for clients on financial reporting, payroll, and advisory matters.
  • Perform full-cycle accounting tasks including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements.
  • Ensure timely month-end and year-end reporting.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives like succession planning and operational improvements.
  • Support onboarding and training new team members.
  • Identify and implement process optimization opportunities.
  • Prepare GST and other compliance filings.
  • Coordinate file planning and completion with peers and management.
  • Deliver attentive, personalized client service to foster strong relationships.

The successful candidate will have:

  • at least 4 years’ experience in full cycle bookkeeping procedures
  • payroll designation & experience considered an asset.
  • At least 4 years’ experience in QuickBooks Online is required.
  • Tech Stack experience including integration of apps is considered an asset.
  • excellent computer skills and willingness to upgrade such skills, as required.

In addition to this, the ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in dynamic environments.
  • Strong time management with capacity to anticipate and adapt to workflow changes.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Solid analytical, mathematical, and computer proficiency.
  • Advanced skills in Windows XP, Excel, and Word.
  • Working knowledge of CRA regulations, labor standards, WCB, and GST.
  • Excellent interpersonal, administrative, and organizational abilities.
  • Familiarity with Freedom of Information protocols and confidential data handling.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities.
