We are currently seeking an experienced, motivated and client-driven individual to join our growing CFO team as a Senior Accounting Advisor, to assist us in providing service excellence, ensuring all aspects of our clients’ needs are met and exceeded. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Review client financial files for accuracy and compliance.
- Mentor Accounting and Data Advisors, providing feedback on their work.
- Serve as primary contact for clients on financial reporting, payroll, and advisory matters.
- Perform full-cycle accounting tasks including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end reporting.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives like succession planning and operational improvements.
- Support onboarding and training new team members.
- Identify and implement process optimization opportunities.
- Prepare GST and other compliance filings.
- Coordinate file planning and completion with peers and management.
- Deliver attentive, personalized client service to foster strong relationships.
The successful candidate will have:
- at least 4 years’ experience in full cycle bookkeeping procedures
- payroll designation & experience considered an asset.
- At least 4 years’ experience in QuickBooks Online is required.
- Tech Stack experience including integration of apps is considered an asset.
- excellent computer skills and willingness to upgrade such skills, as required.
In addition to this, the ideal candidate will have:
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in dynamic environments.
- Strong time management with capacity to anticipate and adapt to workflow changes.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Solid analytical, mathematical, and computer proficiency.
- Advanced skills in Windows XP, Excel, and Word.
- Working knowledge of CRA regulations, labor standards, WCB, and GST.
- Excellent interpersonal, administrative, and organizational abilities.
- Familiarity with Freedom of Information protocols and confidential data handling.
- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities.
