Senior Project Manager (Land Piling Project) - North Vancouver About The Company We are a growing construction company specializing in foundations, ground improvement, and shoring. With expertise in large-diameter piles, drilled piles, screw piles, stone columns, vibro concrete columns (VCC), timber compaction piling, sheet piles, cofferdams, combi-walls, and H-pile lagging systems, we bring innovation and quality to every project.
Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee complex land piling and ground improvement projects. This role requires a skilled leader to manage projects from planning through completion, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operations of land piling and ground improvement projects.
- Develop, implement, and monitor construction schedules.
- Prepare, review, and negotiate contractual agreements.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors to maintain timelines.
- Manage job costs, forecasting, and project profitability.
- Serve as a client-facing representative while supporting business development.
- Mentor junior staff and provide on-site project leadership when needed.
- Maintain strong commitment to Health, Safety & Environmental standards.
Qualifications / Requirements
- University degree or diploma in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
- Registered or eligible to register as an AScT or EIT/P.Eng. in BC.
- Minimum 8 years of project management experience with geotechnical focus.
- Experience with CFA ground improvement and secant piles (asset).
- Strong knowledge of foundations, earth retaining structures, and driven piles.
- Skilled in contract management, scheduling, and financial controls.
- Experience with government approvals and trade standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and time management skills.
- Experience in land pile
- Experience with Vibro Compaction ground improving technique.
