We operate in a 24/7 manufacturing environment with over 100 employees, primarily in blue-collar, production, warehouse, and shift-based roles. The HR Business Partner will have a real impact on daily operations, employee experience, company culture, and the development of PTI’s HR function.
The Role
The HR Business Partner will support leaders and employees across the organization, with a strong focus on our 24/7 factory operations. This is a hands-on role that combines daily workforce support with broader HR leadership.
Key responsibilities include
Daily staffing support - The #1 priority is ensuring machines have operators. HR must support plant leaders in managing shift changes, coordinating absences and replacements Lead recruitment Build and implement staffing strategies, onboarding, handling employee relations Support onboarding, training, employee engagement, and retention initiatives. Implement a HR system. Oversee CNESST matters, workplace health and safety support, leaves, etc.
The role will work closely with shift managers, warehouse leaders, plant leadership, and senior management to align HR practices with business needs.
Qualifications
Experience in Human Resources, preferably in a manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, logistics, or blue-collar environment. Strong employee relations experience, including coaching, conflict resolution, investigations, and performance management. Knowledge of Quebec labour and employment laws, CNESST, workplace leaves, and HR compliance. Experience with workforce planning, shift-based operations, attendance management, or production staffing is a strong asset. Experience with HRIS systems and basic HR data analysis. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust at all levels of the organization. Ability to work full-time on-site in Pointe-Claire, Quebec.
Bilingual Required.
HR certification such as CRHA, CRIA, CHRP, CPHR, or equivalent is an asset.
