ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill and Experience)
-
Current Certificate of Competence as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.

BScN preferred.
-
Current BCLS certification.
-
Minimum 3 years emergency & critical care experience.
-
Minimum 1 year paediatric experience preferred
-
Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale Education.
-
IV certification.
-
Certification in delegated medical acts and added nursing skills in Emergency/ICU desired
-
Cardiac module of Critical Care Course or equivalent required, within past five (5) years.

Certification in ACLS required.
-
Certification in PALS preferred.
-
Certification in TNCC (Trauma Nursing Care Course) preferred.
-
Health teaching skills that demonstrate a broad knowledge of Adult and Paediatric Care.
-
Demonstrated problem solving skills, communication skills and critical thinking skills.

Satisfactory attendance.
