About the role

Electrical Apprentice works under the supervision of the Resort's Red Seal Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems throughout the resort. This position provides hands-on experience in a wide variety of commercial, hospitality, industrial, and outdoor electrical applications while progressing through the apprenticeship program.

Qualifications & Requirements

Required

Registered Electrical Apprentice (any level considered). Valid driver's license. Basic understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights. Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred

Experience in commercial or industrial electrical work. Experience with motor controls, pumps, VFDs, generators, or building automation systems.

Responsibilities

Assist the Red Seal Electrician with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment and infrastructure. Assist in troubleshooting electrical faults and equipment failures. Install conduit, wiring, lighting, receptacles, switches, panels, and electrical controls. Maintain electrical systems serving hotel accommodations, restaurants, kitchens, spa facilities, pools, maintenance buildings, and recreational facilities. Assist with maintenance of pumps, motors, irrigation controls, water treatment equipment, sewage lift stations, and other mechanical systems. Perform testing using electrical diagnostic equipment and meters. Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders. Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards. Participate in an on-call rotation as skills and experience develop. Assist with emergency repairs as required. Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Support other maintenance staff during major projects and resort events when required.
