The Role As the Learning & Development (L&D) Manager, you will lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of learning and development (L&D) initiatives across the Firm, partnering closely with Service Line Professional Development (PD) delegates to ensure training is relevant, timely, and aligned with individual needs and Firm and professional standards.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with PD Delegates to plan, coordinate, and deliver learning programs for technical and core skills
- Translate learning needs identified by PD delegates into structured programs with clear delivery plans.
- Ensure learning programs support key employee populations, including: New hires, Accountants, Senior Accountants, Managers, Senior Managers, Principals and Partners.
- Support and revamp Firm-wide L&D programs as needed to ensure relevance, consistency, and scalability.
- Timely reporting to leadership on L&D delivery and engagement.
- Use data and feedback to assess effectiveness and inform future learning plans.
- Improve the Firm’s ability to evaluate training outcomes and ROI over time.
- Track, manage and report on L&D budgets, including costs associated with internal and external training delivery.
- Leverage learning technologies and tools to improve delivery and accessibility of content.
- Explore and implement AI-enabled approaches to content delivery, learning design, and efficiency where appropriate.
- Assess current learning frameworks, materials, and processes to identify gaps and opportunities.
- Support the evolution of Individual Learning & Development Plans (ILDPs), including process redesign and alignment with career development.
- Consider how the Canadian Standard on Quality Management (CSQM) requirements fit into the broader learning framework and support compliance where needed.
- Source and liaise with external training providers as needed.
What You Bring Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field is required (equivalent experience may also be considered).
Experience
- Experience delivering L&D programs across multiple audiences.
- Creating L&D content considered an asset, but not required.
- Experience leading and managing others, including providing direction, feedback, and support to enable effective performance and delivery of responsibilities.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders.
- Highly organized, data-driven, and comfortable with reporting and budget oversight.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the Firm.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems is considered an asset, but not required.
- Exposure to professional services environments is an asset, but not required.
