About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and passionate HSE Coordinator to join our team and lead safety initiatives across our Saskatchewan branches. This is more than a compliance position — you’ll be a trusted coach, mentor and change agent, helping branches strengthen their safety culture, reduce risks and protect what matters most: our people.
You’ll have a territory to call your own, the autonomy to make decisions, and the support of a collaborative safety team. You’ll also have a company vehicle for regional travel and the opportunity to directly influence how safety is embedded into daily operations.
What You’ll Do:
You’ll be the go-to safety leader for multiple branches in your territory, responsible for:
- Coaching, Training & Mentoring
- Participate in branch safety meetings and training sessions
- Mentor managers, supervisors and safety committees on hazard assessments, safe work procedures, and compliance
- Compliance & Auditing
- Conduct site inspections to verify HSE program effectiveness
- Identify non-compliance and work with branch staff to create practical solutions
- Review the posted branch safety documentation and statistics and advise on updates as required
- Incident & Claim Management
- Conduct investigations, determine root cause analysis, and assign corrective actions
- Assist with WCB claims and return-to-work programs
- Program Development & Continuous Improvement
- Develop hazard assessments, assist branches with emergency response plans, and safe work procedures
- Implement creative solutions to improve safety performance
- Collaborate with other regions to share best practices
What We’re Looking For
Must-haves:
- Experience with Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Alberta OH&S legislation
- Strong communication and coaching skills with the ability to influence all levels of staff
- Solid organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with technology, including mobile apps and e-forms
- Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driver abstract (travel is required)
Nice-to-haves:
- Mechanical, construction, heavy equipment or agriculture equipment industry background
- Previous multi-site HSE program experience in a large, regional organization
