Pirate Cove Marina is your boating destination located right on the Rideau River just outside of Kemptville, Ontario, 25 min South of Ottawa. Pirate Cove Marina (a subsidiary of the Leisure Days RV Group) has been in business for over 30 years and continues to grow.

The Marina operates all year round and offers a full spectrum of services, from boat sales and service to slip rentals and storage options for every season. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service and creating a vibrant community for boating enthusiasts. We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our dynamic team.

Overview:

As a Sales Associate at Pirate Cove, you will play a key role in driving sales and enhancing customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for promoting our range of boats, marine products, and services, and ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for our customers. The ideal candidate is passionate about sales, has excellent communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

The Marine Sales Associate matches customers with the best recreational marine vehicle for their travel and lifestyle needs. Reports to: Sales Manager

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.

  • Provide detailed product knowledge and guidance on boat sales, accessories, and services.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring repeat business and referrals.

  • Assist in the management of sales leads, customer inquiries, and follow-up activities.

  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, new products, and competitor offerings.

  • Collaborate with the marina team to achieve sales targets and contribute to overall business growth.

  • Handle sales paperwork, contracts, with accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Participate in marina events such as boat shows, and promotional activities to attract new customers.

  • This position will interact with and correspond directly with our many returning clients as well as communicate daily with other office staff, and our Service Department and management.

  • Follow up on all leads presented (via walk-ins, phone, events, and email) in a prompt and professional fashion daily using our CRM database tools or similar system.

  • Develop connections in the fishing community and bring clientele into the dealership and prospect for new business.

  • Help with keeping inventory organized in our showroom to be presentable for customers to view and online marketing content.

  • Be willing to go hands on from time to time to help get boats out the door on time.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will have prior sales or retail experience, excellent communication and computer skills, a dedication to customer experience excellence and be an organized multitasker.

  • Excellent organizational and relationship skills, with a willingness to work as a team.

  • Motivation to sell
