The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of company invoices. This includes ensuring that payments are made only for goods and/or services that have been received, and that all expenses are properly approved and paid by their due dates.
The role also manages the reimbursement of travel expenses for employees and oversees the daily processing of electronic and cash deposits from all lines of business. This includes entering the necessary accounting transactions to allocate funds appropriately, which supports corporate account reconciliations.
Additionally, the incumbent provides support to the Mailroom Service Agent, contributing to the smooth operation of mail services within the organization.
What you'll do
Responsibilities
Process supplier invoices, including data entry and coordination of payments in accordance with deadlines and approvals.
Handle daily electronic and cash deposits, ensuring accuracy in accounting entries.
Manage employee travel expense reimbursements in compliance with internal policies.
Provide support to Finance department activities, including mail services, account reconciliations, and various administrative tasks.
What you'll need
Qualifications
Excellent attention to detail to ensure the quality and accuracy of payments.
Ability to work effectively in a team and provide courteous, reliable service, with strong organizational skills and a sense of accountability.
Proficiency in key Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams).
Knowledge of accounting is considered an asset.
Experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
