About the role
InterRent REIT is seeking a Property Cleaner to join our operations team at our Forest Ridge Community. This hands-on role is ideal for a reliable cleaning professional with a customer-first mindset who is committed to helping create and maintain clean, safe, and welcoming living spaces for our residents.
Compensation
- $17.60 - $19.00/hr based on skills and experience.
- Additionally, all employees participate in our comprehensive benefits program, which includes health, dental, and prescription drug coverage for both employees and their dependents.
Responsibilities
In addition to the responsibilities typically expected of a cleaning professional, responsibilities will include:
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, laundry rooms, and common areas to ensure high hygiene standards.
- Empty garbage and ensure that waste is disposed of safely and properly.
- Perform occasional deep cleaning including scrubbing baseboards, cleaning appliances, and refinishing floors.
- Respond to any cleaning work orders submitted by the property management team.
- Occasionally engage in snow removal during winter months.
- Perform daily inspections of common areas and report any maintenance issues to the property operations team.
- Follow all safety protocols and use all assigned personal protective equipment appropriately.
Qualifications
- Friendly, respectable, and community minded, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Previous cleaning experience considered an asset, but is not required.
- Comfortable working both independently and part of a team.
- Ability to perform a variety of repetitive physical tasks, including bending, lifting, and walking for extended periods of time.
- Basic English verbal communication skills are required.
- Successful completion of a criminal record check.
- Ability to provide professional references and proven record of reliable work attendance.
Additional Information
- All work will be completed on-site at our Forest Ridge Community at 2380 Baseline Rd, K2C 3J4.
- Ability to respond to emergencies during regular operating hours.
- Participation in an after-hours rotational response team may be required.
