About the role

Overview

Brandt is currently seeking a Labourer for our Regina Construction and Forestry location. This position is responsible for assisting in the heavy equipment service department. Duties will include, but are not limited to, cleaning heavy equipment and the shop, and working with technicians. The labourer will play a key role in assisting the other personnel fulfill their duties and increase overall shop productivity. This position is an entry point for someone interested in pursuing an apprenticeship.

What You Will Be Responsible For

  • Detailing heavy equipment once the repairs have been completed

  • Maintaining the wash bay equipment and cleanliness of the wash bay

  • Cleaning parts and components

  • Cleaning and maintaining the yard and shop

  • Assisting in the dismantling of heavy equipment and components

  • Organizing equipment in the yard and maintaining dealership premises (grading, leveling snow removal)

  • Some inventory maintenance

  • Assisting the other shop personnel with fulfilling their duties and increase overall shop productivity

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Demonstrate safe and efficient workplace practices

  • Possess mechanical aptitude and strong willingness to learn

  • Able to carry out and understand verbal and written instructions

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Highly motivated individual who possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Capable of meeting the physical demands of the heavy duty equipment environment (ie: lifting up to 50 pounds)

  • Capable of working under minimum amount of supervision
